Certain families seem…..well, different.
Now stay with me…
I am talking about those families – the ones in whom you know something is unique.
They actually ENJOY spending time together.
You can tell they have each other’s backs and care for one another.
You know they have persevered together and built their faith together.
Every so often, I feel so thankful to meet a family such as this. In the past several years, I have met this crazy crew through sports. We give sports a bad rap sometimes (trust me I do – it is a monster that oftentimes runs our life!) …but sports is a vehicle to opportunity that may not otherwise happen. One of the things about sports that I appreciate most is the relationships built. We have been able to meet and get to know so many really amazing people and it is fun to catch up to at various events in various places.
Well for those of us who have met the C family, we know we are better for it! I couldn’t help but to think of several things while I was working through some of their photos….
First, they have FUN! Dance party anyone? (College friends out having fun…or mom, dad and kids??)
The family that PLAYS together, stays together.
They work hard….(and still… have fun!)!
The family that ENCOURAGES each other, stays together.
They care for one another. They have a true compassion and empathy for others too – cultivated no doubt from their family life. Really…in a world filled with so much narcissism, it is beautiful and rare.
The family that CARES for each other, stays together.
They are true teammates.
Now let’s not forget the original purpose for these photos. Carson is reaching a huge milestone! If you haven’t met Carson, you are missing out!
I have people in my life whom evoke various emotion when I see them…Some may make me laugh…Some may make me feel anxious….Some may make me feel annoyed…Others just make me smile. Carson is one of those kind of people! He makes everyone around him feel JOY!
He is the jewel of the family and is so genuine. He had all of us laughing and smiling the whole time. It was hard not to get good pictures with him around.
Carson has some pretty awesome siblings too….and they too can be a little quirky! haha – 😉
I had a BLAST with you all…(minus when I crashed into the ledge with my shin and acted like it didn’t hurt but in reality, it was really killing me…).
Thanks for including me in a small part of your family’s story.
Carson – I hope this year is the best year yet!
